Associate

David M. Smyle joined the firm in 2021. He has a broad practice that includes insurance bad faith litigation, landlord-tenant disputes, complex civil litigation and personal injury. He has extensive experience in litigation including representation of government entities, businesses, and individuals.

David was admitted to the California bar in 2019 after earning his Juris Doctor degree from the University of California, Davis School of Law, where he participated in Moot Court and was the president of the Entertainment and Sports Law Society. Before attending law school, he obtained his undergraduate degree in Political Science with a minor in Business from the University of California, San Diego.

David was born in Ventura, California and has been an active member of the community in both Ventura and Santa Barbara for many years. He is a member of the Santa Barbara County Bar Association and Ventura County Bar Association. When not working, he enjoys swimming, watching any sport, and playing board games.
